#TRINUS VR PSVR HOW TO#
Here’s how to set up and use PlayStation VR on your PC. You won’t be able to play room-scale games, but you should be able to enjoy Standing VR games that offer keyboard and mouse/controller support.Įither way, it’s worth a go, especially if one of your favourite games has VR support. While it’s not the best way to experience PC-powered VR games and experiences, there is a way that you can use your PlayStation VR headset on your PC, sans Motion controllers. That’s perfect if you’re a PS4 gamer, but what if you’re platform agnostic and go from PS4 to PC too? You don’t want to fork out for a PSVR headset and then have to buy an Oculus Rift or HTC Vive to use on the PC, right? The PlayStation VR headset is one of the cheapest on the market, with Sony currently selling PSVR bundles for as little as $199.99. You need a piece of software for your PC called Trinus PSVR software for Windows. Now, you can't do this right off the get go. It's great to be able to do so as if you already have the PSVR, and have a capable PC, you don't have to go and buy a whole different VR Headset to be able to take advantage of the Steam VR games. Trinus is part of my VR set up at the moment and most certainly is crucial to my VR gaming experience, I definitely recommend checking out and broadening the horizons of the PSVR if you own one.Not many people know this, but if you already have a Playstation VR / PSVR headset, you can use it right on your PC to play all of those amazing Steam VR games and Oculus games too. Side scrollers, racing, FPS, TPS, anything can be made to work in some way or form, its just a matter of trying out what works and then having fun with it. The ability to play ANY game I want with the option of making various adjustments to the perspective to make it work for me is just brilliant. Personally I have found my experience with VR on PC to be a far greater than what is on offer by Sony for the PS4. It is well worth looking at if you are wanting to get more out of your VR headset than just the PlayStation experience Sony wants you to have with the PSVR. Trinus is the software that gives the ability to connect the PSVR to Pc and saves the day by doing so. It is also best to use in conjunction with a program like Virtual Desktop which allows much manipulation of the screen set up so you can do as you please, be it gaming, watching movies or anything else. Extend screen is the setting to use for screens set up. Hitting the “start” button will activate the PSVR headset and you are on your way.
Set up is considerably simple, install open and run the software while the PSVR is hooked up to your PC. This will give uninterrupted access to the software while in VR and greatly improve your time in the Virtual Reality realm.
